Safehouse Publishes LGBTQ Safe Relationships Handbook
Safehouse (Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence) has recently published its Safe Relationships Handbook, available here. According to Safehouse, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, and Queer (“LGBTQ”) individuals and communities face relationship violence at similar rates as the heterosexual population. Often dismissed as “mutual abuse,” LGBTQ victims experience a coercive pattern of control, jealousy, and/or entitlement within their relationships.
