Leading Ladies is an award-winning LGBT-themed ballroom dance film by Colorado’s Daniel & Erika Randall Beahm (2010, 102 minutes). This dance musical dramedy shows an overbearing ballroom dance mother and her two daughters – one who gets pregnant and one who falls in love with a woman – as they dance, learn to let go, and let love lead. A review in VARIETY called it “An indie alternative to Glee and High School Musical” while the producers called it “Little Miss Sunshine” meets “Dirty Dancing.” Look  for some of Fox TV’s early “So You Think You Can Dance” stars in the cast. Sponsored by Dance Bridge & BPL Cinema Program in celebration of the 11th annual Celebrate Dance Month.
